Boating Times Long Island is raffling off a “boatload” of books from very generous authors to raise money for rebuilding efforts on Long Island.

There are more than 40 books (most are signed) from renowned writers, first novelists, international writers, local authors, and a PBS host.  Included are mysteries, thrillers, love stories, novels, memoirs, histories, kids’ books, an audio book, and a cookbook.

One raffle ticket is $10.00 and three are $25.00; one winner will receive all the books!

All raffle proceeds go to the Long Island Volunteer Center (LIVC), which has opened the Long Island Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (LIVOAD) Volunteer Recovery Center in Bethpage. The Volunteer Recovery Center provides logistical support and coordination for disaster volunteer groups providing Superstorm Sandy recovery efforts on Long Island and actively recruits volunteers for these disaster groups. The Long Island Volunteer Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization registered with the IRS; identification number 11-3146795.  www.longislandvolunteercenter.org

Boating Times Long Island is a boating lifestyle magazine focusing on the boaters who live on Long Island and those who come to enjoy all the attractions offered along the shore.
